Sentinel® Flavor Tabs are for use in dogs and puppies that weigh at least 2 lbs and are four weeks of age or older. Sentinel Flavor Tabs are used to prevent heartworm disease and to control adult hookworm infections. Sentinel Flavor Tabs are also used to remove and control adult roundworm and whipworm infections. Sentinel Flavor Tablets also contain the insect growth regulator, lufenuron, which is used to control fleas by preventing the development of flea eggs. The pet should be tested for heartworm disease before starting this medication.
